Brand history

Founded 1999 by François-Paul Journe (b. 1957) in Geneva. The most influential single living watchmaker in modern haute horlogerie. Production is intentionally tiny (sub-1,000 watches per year across the entire catalog) and the design vocabulary — off-center small-seconds dial, brass plate movements, the 'Souscription' production model — is distinctive enough that 'a Journe' is its own descriptor.
