Cal. 3230 has a 70-hour power reserve. A fully wound 124270 should run for 70 hours after being set down; any movement stopping well short of that indicates a power reserve issue.
The 3230 runs at 28,800 bph. On a timegrapher, well-serviced examples hold under ±2 s/day across positions.
The Chronergy escapement uses a nickel-phosphorus pallet fork and escape wheel. Under 10x loupe, both should be free of chips, debris, or visible wear on the pallet stones.
The rotor should spin freely in both directions. Resistance or grinding indicates lubrication failure in the ball bearing race.
Check the crown positions: crown in position 1 (pulled one click) should allow quick-set of seconds (hacking). Position 2 sets time. There is no date position since the 124270 has no date.
