The Patek Philippe Twenty~4 | family history

The Twenty~4 launched in 1999 as Patek's collection for women's watches: a rectangular case, quartz movement, diamond-set bezel. The 2018 generation replaced that premise entirely. The current Twenty~4 Automatic (ref. 4910/1200A) is a 36mm round-case watch in steel, running the in-house Caliber 324 S C, priced as a serious Patek entry point rather than an accessories play. It is the reference that belongs in a collector conversation about accessible Patek mechanicals.

Year introduced: 19990 references

Patek’s collection designed for and around women collectors, launched in 1999. The original Twenty~4 manchette is rectangular and quartz; the 2018-onward 4910/1200A and 7300/1200A introduced an automatic round-case generation built on the in-house cal. 324 S C, the references that belong in a serious-mechanical conversation.

1999–2018 · Rectangular quartz generation

The original Twenty~4 used a rectangular bracelet-integrated case and quartz movement. It occupied a different product tier than the Calatrava or Nautilus families: higher-jewelry content, lower horological ambition. Diamond and non-diamond variants existed across steel and precious metal. These references are outside the mechanical-first scope of Grail Atlas.

2018–present · Round automatic generation

Patek redesigned the Twenty~4 in 2018 with a 36mm round case, Caliber 324 S C (self-winding, central seconds, date), and steel as the lead reference material. The 4910/1200A in steel with a blue sunburst dial is the reference that draws comparison to the Calatrava entry tier. It provides in-house Patek movement quality at a lower price point than the traditional Calatrava references.

Which ref to buy

The Twenty~4 is Patek's ladies' bracelet watch -- introduced in 1999, it became one of the brand's most commercially successful ladies' references. Reference 7300 is the automatic version with in-house caliber 324. The rectangular case and integrated bracelet have made it a recognizable status piece.

  1. 1

Twenty~4 7300 -- Patek ladies' automatic, strong secondary market, the most commercially successful Patek reference for women.

    The case for it:
The Twenty~4 7300 carries in-house caliber 324 -- Patek's full manufacture quality in a ladies' bracelet watch. Secondary market for the automatic version is strong and appreciating. As a Patek, it comes with the full service network and the brand's documented history of parts support.
    Consider instead if:
The rectangular integrated bracelet watch category is crowded at this price -- Cartier Tank and Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso compete on design with stronger historical provenance. The Twenty~4 is more about Patek prestige than design distinction.
