Brand history

Founded by Hans Wilsdorf as a sister brand to Rolex, sharing the Geneva headquarters; movements (the MT calibres) are now made at the Tudor manufacture in Le Locle.

Founded 1926 as a sub-brand of Rolex by Hans Wilsdorf, with the intent of producing more-accessible watches using Rolex cases and outsourced movements. Re-positioned dramatically in 2015 with the introduction of in-house calibers (the MT family), with Tudor now a credible peer of mid-range Omega and IWC. The Black Bay (modern dive) and Pelagos (true tool dive) drive the contemporary catalog.
