1926
Tudor’s 2018 entry-tier dress line, named for the year Hans Wilsdorf registered the Tudor name. The 28mm to 41mm cases carry the T600 caliber (ETA 2824-2 base) at the lowest Tudor price point, with a domed crystal and applied indices drawn from the 1950s Oyster Prince Tudor archive.

Which ref to buy
The 1926 is Tudor's entry dress watch -- named for the year Tudor was established. Simple round case, applied indices, ETA 2824-2 movement, date. It is Tudor's most affordable automatic and its most conventional.

Tudor 1926 36mm -- entry Tudor dress, simple and honest, the right watch if you want a Tudor and the Black Bay is too sporty.
- The case for it:
- The 1926 is unpretentious. Clean dial, correct proportions at 36mm, Tudor case quality at an accessible price. For buyers who want a Swiss dress watch under $1,000 with solid brand recognition, this delivers.
- Consider instead if:
- ETA movement at this price point means you are paying for the Tudor name over the engineering. Longines Master Collection and Tissot Gentleman offer comparable or better movements for similar money. The 1926 is the weakest argument for the Tudor brand.
