Founded 1904 in Hölstein, Basel-Landschaft, by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian. One of the few sizable Swiss watchmakers still wholly independent, bought back from ASUAG/SMH in 1982 by Ulrich Herzog and Rolf Portmann. The modern catalog is anchored by the Divers Sixty-Five (a 2015 reissue of the brand’s 1965 dive watch), the Aquis contemporary diver, and the Big Crown ProPilot. The in-house Calibre 400 (2020, five-day reserve, ten-year service interval, anti-magnetic) is the brand’s most-recent technical milestone.
