Divers Sixty-Five
Oris’s 2015 reissue of the 1965 Oris Diver: domed crystal, broad-arrow hands, period-correct silhouette. The 40mm version is the family’s reference; the 36mm and 42mm sizes branch off without breaking the design vocabulary.

Which ref to buy
The Divers Sixty-Five is Oris's vintage-inspired diver, reissued in 2015 and expanded to multiple sizes. Two main diameters: 40mm and 36mm. Both use the Sellita SW200 base. The design draws from the original 1965 Oris diver with a domed crystal and cushion-ish case. At its price point it is among the most honest value propositions in vintage-inspired diving.
- 1Open
Divers Sixty-Five 40mm -- the correct size for the design, honest vintage-inspired diver at a fair price.
- The case for it:
- The domed sapphire crystal, pencil hands, and lollipop seconds hand all read period-correct. The 40mm case wears like a vintage watch in the best way. At the price it is competing with Tudor Black Bay and winning on value if you want something that looks softer and less modern.
- Consider instead if:
- The SW200 movement is not proprietary and does not match in-house competitors at the same price. If movement heritage matters, the Black Bay Heritage with ETA 2824 lineage is comparable; the Longines HydroConquest steps up in movement spec.

Divers Sixty-Five 36mm -- smaller face, better proportions for narrower wrists, same value story.
- The case for it:
- The 36mm version suits smaller wrists without looking reduced. The design reads even more vintage-accurate at this size. Underrated in the lineup.
- Consider instead if:
- The 40mm is the reference size for this family. The 36mm limits the secondary market.
