Wienerwald watches

The Vienna Woods (Wienerwald) area outside Vienna is the base of Habring², the independent Austrian brand founded by Richard and Maria Habring in 2004. Richard Habring spent more than a decade at IWC as a movement developer (he co-developed the IWC caliber 5000 rattrapante and led the development of the caliber 5011 perpetual calendar). Habring² pieces are produced in micro-quantities and sold primarily direct; the Felix and Doppel references in the catalog use movements developed and assembled in-house. The brand is collected by movement enthusiasts who follow the careers of individual watchmakers rather than houses.
