The Fumé is the signature Anordain: a gradient enamel that transitions from deep color at center to lighter at edge (or the reverse). The gradient must be smooth and continuous through the enamel depth.
Known reproduction risks

LOW
Printed gradient on non-enamel dial
Gradient lacks the internal enamel depth; it sits on the surface
No orange-peel texture under magnification
Flat appearance under raking light
A smooth enamel gradient is technically demanding; no comparable non-enamel surface achieves the same visual character.
