B022 – ROTARY Series. BEHRENS is a small independent watch brand that focuses on modifying movements by building an internal mechanical module for a non-traditional functional display of time. The ROTARY series pays homage to the 100th anniversary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda (1920-2020), replicating the operation of the iconic RX-Series rotary engine. A large rotor with triangular pointers represents the hours, a smaller rotor with 3 pointers represents the minutes, built on the basis of a Swiss ETA 2824 automatic movement. The dial has been skeletonized to make the mechanism clearly visible.
