Multifort

Mido’s longest-running line, launched 1934, named for its triple-defence claim (waterproof, antimagnetic, shock-resistant). The Multifort Patrimony is the contemporary 40mm reference; the original 1930s case shape and stepped bezel still drive the family’s design language.

Which ref to buy

The Multifort Patrimony is Mido's vintage-inspired field watch: cushion case, silver dial, Roman numerals, Caliber 80 with 80-hour power reserve. It draws from 1934 Mido archives. Mido is a Swatch Group brand positioned below Longines and Tissot.

  1. 1

Multifort Patrimony -- vintage-inspired field watch from Swatch Group, 80-hour reserve, honest entry price.

    The case for it:
The cushion case and Roman numerals on a field watch layout is a distinctive combination at the Mido price point. Cal. 80 with 80-hour reserve is the same movement family as Tissot Powermatic 80 -- solid for the money.
    Consider instead if:
The Multifort Patrimony competes against the Hamilton Khaki Field, which has a stronger brand story and better secondary market. For buyers choosing between them, Hamilton usually wins on identity.
