Philippe Dufour's twin-balance-wheel wristwatch, introduced in 1996 after Dufour found a double-balance pocket watch in a museum catalog and adapted the idea to the wrist. Dufour originally planned 25 examples but completed only nine given the mechanism's complexity, making the Duality one of the rarest watches from a maker whose entire output is already scarce.
