The 326934 is the first steel Sky-Dweller offered on an Oyster bracelet, making the reference the entry point into Rolex's most mechanically complex watch for buyers who want steel sports-watch wearability with an annual calendar and dual time zone. It sits at the top of the steel sports tier by price, which cuts both ways: strong resale floor, but thin value proposition against pre-owned precious-metal alternatives.
Rolex introduced the 326934 in 2017, pairing the fluted white gold bezel with a steel case and Oyster bracelet for the first time in the Sky-Dweller line. Earlier Sky-Dwellers shipped exclusively on Jubilee or Oysterflex and in precious-metal cases, so this reference opened the model to a broader buyer. The caliber 9001 has been constant since launch, a bi-directional self-winding movement with the Ring Command bezel for setting the annual calendar and home-time complications.
Dial options have included white, black, and champagne; white sunray is the most frequently traded configuration.
Check the Ring Command bezel carefully: it should rotate with crisp, defined detents in both directions; looseness or grinding suggests wear or prior damage. The fluted white gold bezel is a separate material from the steel case, so inspect the junction for chips or poorly-fitted replacements. Case lug condition matters here as much as on any sport Rolex; the 42mm case is thicker and heavier than the Submariner family, and over-polished examples lose the sharp vertical brushing on the flanks.
Confirm the correct Oyster bracelet reference for 2017-onward production; earlier Sky-Dweller bracelets from precious-metal references will not be correct fitment. Service history documentation is worth asking for given the complexity of the 9001 caliber.
