Which ref to buy

The Form A is Junghans's minimalist quartz dress watch -- smaller case, even cleaner dial than the Max Bill, designed by Hannes Wettstein. A watch for buyers who find the Max Bill numerals still too much.

  1. 1

Form A -- pure minimalism, quartz accuracy, for buyers who find the Max Bill too busy.

    The case for it:
The Form A takes Bauhaus reduction further than the Max Bill. The quartz movement means it keeps better time than an affordable automatic and never needs winding. For a dress watch that disappears under a cuff, this is the most radical affordable option.
    Consider instead if:
Quartz limits collector interest. The Form A does not appreciate. Buyers who want a quartz minimalist watch should compare against Nomos Orion quartz and Tissot T-Classic.
