The Bell & Ross BR 05 | family history

The Bell & Ross BR 05 (2020) is the brand's entry into the integrated-bracelet sport watch market: the same square case identity of the BR 01 and BR 03, now fused to a 5-link integrated steel bracelet. At 40mm, the BR 05 is slightly smaller than the BR 03-92 but more bracelet-wearable. It is also the only integrated-bracelet square-case sport watch in current production, which is either a distinctive advantage or an acquired taste depending on your case geometry preferences.

Year introduced: 20201 reference

Bell & Ross's round integrated-bracelet sports line: a deliberate evolution from the square BR 03 toward a more conventional wear-anywhere format. The BR 05 (2020) features a round 40 mm case with an integrated H-link bracelet, the BR-CAL.321 in-house movement, and a display that retains the brand's aviation instrument DNA in a more accessible silhouette.

2020–present · The BR 05 launch

Bell & Ross launched the BR 05 in 2020 as a direct response to the integrated-bracelet trend that had brought Royal Oak and Nautilus fever to a peak. The design logic is straightforward: take the brand's signature square case and integrate it into a tapered 5-link bracelet that flows naturally from the case corners. The result is a watch that reads as a sport watch rather than a tool watch. The BR 05-92 Steel is the primary reference at 40mm; the BR 05-93 adds a GMT function.
