The cal 315 SC powered the Calatrava for decades as Patek's standard automatic with center seconds and quickset date. All surfaces receive Côtes de Genève, beveling, and anglage, consistent with Patek's Seal requirements. The "SC" designation indicates center seconds via a friction-fitted wheel, a traditional layout that remains in the movement architecture to this day.
